Congrats Janna! Way to stick with it, even through the heat of summer. I may just have to hike to Franklin Lakes over Labor Day weekend.

What very nice initials that man has... It took me a second to figure out you weren't thanking me! My clue? Nothing to thank me for. Just call me Sherlock.

Beautiful, as always! I need to check in here more often--you do such great work. I wish I lived closer so I could see these in person . . . and find the "hidden Mickeys" er, I mean hidden objects! I hope you get the Elliotts out there to do a Commonwealth story, so I can enjoy it vicariously through the 4th Estate. Have fun, and remember to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

Hi Jana, it's Sherrilyn. Mom sent me your blog. This looks just like the cemetery down the street from our land in North Carolina. We have property on the Ivy River in Marshall near Asheville. We took the kids there last year and had a great time but it is hard to get to our land since the road isn't built yet. Had a fun drive along the Blue Ridge but had to have the kids pray hard for a miracle since we were miles from anywhere, no cell service, and driving on fumes. God came thru within 5 min. and we found a turn-off with gas! The BR was so foggy at some places we couldn't enjoy the view but we had the road to ourselves most the time. Enjoyed mining for gems and took a few home. Had fun walking around Asheville too. Hope to build down by the river someday. Love you mural and art. (Still have some blank cards I got from you about 30 yrs. ago!)

Wow, Linda, have you been there too?? I remember that you lived in Yorba Linda, but didn't know you had also been to her southern home! A zillion photos for sure, but not sure if I have a market for that subject.

Oh Jana, you brought back pleasant memories of Blowing Rock - thanks. Glad you got to visit your relatives and walk in your g'ma's footsteps. I know you will bring back a zillion photos from which to draw or paint .
