Once again, I am of two minds as to whether to show and talk about Mineral King when it is not yet open to the public. So, I’ll just show some photos, and if you want to know anything further, ask me in the comments or email me.
WAIT! Did I hear someone ask me what those wildflowers are? How about a book to help you learn them?

Still snow on the ground, wow. I bet it was a bit chilly at night! I can’t wait until I can drive up to Mineral King when the gates are open to the public (hopefully next week)! 😉
Sharon, that soon? Wonderful!
No, unfortunately. By “next week” I meant that’s when the gates will be open, not when I’m coming up. Actually, Kathy and Trevor were up to open this week; Kristy and her son, Matthew are supposed to be up today.
With The Thing still a factor, I imagine there will be a lot more cabin use this summer. That would be nice to see!
Phoo. I was hoping you’d be here early this year.
Trail Guy delivered a tarp and marshmallows to K & T. 😎
More cabin use would be a good thing.
Phoo. Me, too! Maybe in June? Early July? Thinking about it.
Thanks, Trail Guy–I bet K&T appreciated both!
Hope that’s the case, especially on August 1. Hoping for a huge turn-out!
