Finishing up

Remember the 3 giant collages, a commission that the customers let me put on hold so I could work on the Giant Project?? All three are now ready for customer approval! Once they have passed muster, I will spray fix them to prevent smearing and then add color. Here is #3 for you to enjoy.  The challenge on this one is getting the blurry blobs of the photos to translate into blurry blobs that look like people in the drawings! One little mis-stroke, a microscopic fleck of graphite catches on a thread of paper and oops, there’s Frankenstein. A wee dab of the eraser and oops, there’s Mr. Clean! If people this small even resemble people, I consider it a great accomplishment.  If the customer recognizes the blurry blobs as her people, I am over the top with the thrill of it all!cp_3.jpg

  1. The 3 collages are sooo beautiful, and you did so well getting the likeness of Puck! You even made Dad and Mom at the bottom, recognizable! Wait until Mom sees it! She’s visiting in February. Since both Dad and Puck have passed away now, that makes this collage that much more valuable to us. We can’t thank you enough. I can’t believe we can’t put the set up yet, for others to see, until we can frame it. Frames cost so much! And we have to make some necessary repairs over here at the riverhouse before we can spend money on framing… so for now, the set is stored under the bed, wrapped in plastic, where I feel it is the most safe, and also where I can take it out and peek at it, occasionally!! And show it to certain special people, occasionally. We will also bring it out at Christmas time, to show the kids – then back under the bed it goes. Hopefully, come spring, we can frame it and hang it. Then you will have to come over, and see it! Thanks so much, once again, Jana.
