OK, so now I do see an improvement from the top to the bottom drawing. More detail, and my favorite part . . . adding a splash of color in your B&W drawings, but only when appropriate. And the American flag definitely is appropriate!
P.S. The plaque in drawings #2 and 3 looks like . . . a headstone!
Teehee, Sharon, you are right that the stone monument marker does resemble a headstone. It would be fun to put a touch of color in every pencil drawing, but when everything is green, gray, or brown, there aren’t any pieces that call out for color. Putting color on the flag is almost an automatic thing for me to do, so I have to remember to ask my customers before I just dive in and do it!
