As promised on Friday, here is a little more about Mineral King. Tomorrow we will return to watching paint dry.
We walked down the road and back up the Nature Trail, which also did not have near the number of wildflowers that we have become accustomed to.
I love the morning light coming into the cabin.

Soooo what do you do with the varmit marmots? Poison? Traps? Guns? We throw things! The pics were lovely of Sawtooth. An Yes, Michael DOES know everything, or that is what I have been told! Maybe it’s a guys in hats thing? Wear a hat, must know something!!! We in SC were just notified not to water anything outside. Sigh. We water the trees around us so the bark beetle does not have a weak tree to eat!!
He’s not old, just older. Just like the rest of us. Thanks for the great pictures !
Lovely photographs. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Char. It is a pleasure to share photos and keep people from having to drive the MK Road!
Isn’t it Trail Guy’s job to know everything? (I’m curious as to what he was pointing out to the young hiker.)
Love that photo of Sawtooth! I have a few zillion of my own. It’s what we WMKers photograph on a regular basis (like EMKers and Farewell Gap).
I think we talked about that trail sign, didn’t we? Nice job!
I, too, have a great shot of our cabin outside corner that I would love to post, but . . . can’t. Maybe I’ll email it to you.
Here’s hoping clicking on “Post Comment” won’t result in an error message! Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed!
Nice comment, Sharon! Thank you for your persistence in the face of technological blockages. And yes please, do email me the corner photo of your cabin. Michael was showing our neighbor the rock outcropping of Empire where he used to put a flag on Independence Day.
You mean he doesn’t anymore? Did the Park finally get to him about “unauthorized plants” or something?
Emailing the photo to you!
He got old.
Ugh. Another acronym. BTDTGtT
