Orange Oil Paintings, WHAT SHALL WE CALL THEM?

Liking this one, because it is oranges and a cobalt blue bowl
The bowl is more detailed here. If I hold it on a tilt, the wet shine doesn’t show.
Untilted, with a shine from being wet and more detail on the left-out orange.
The oranges in the bowl are improved here.
And I think it is finished, but of course it is shiny and wet. I’ll sign it after it is dry, then scan it. BUT WHAT SHALL WE CALL IT??
This is close to finished, but lacking contrast.
Much better, but WHAT SHALL WE CALL IT??

Obviously, I could use a little help with titles here.

“Oranges in a Blue Bowl” is too obvious; maybe I can think of a title that has to do with the fact that orange and blue are complementary colors. This means they are opposite one another on the color wheel—”complementary”, not “complimentary” such as “Oh my goodness, you are looking gorgeous today!”

Normally we think of ducks being in a row (WHY??), but I could call this “Citrus in a Row”. Nope, too obvious. “Citrus Variety” is boring.

Any ideas for me??

  1. Oranges in Blue

    • Hmmm, Anonymous, that might work. Reminds me of the time my mom pointed out orange trees to my niece, who was about 3 years old. Niece responded, “Grandma, those aren’t orange trees—they are GREEN!”

  2. Forgetting the colors entirely, I suggest “Full to Overflowing” for the fruit in the bowl (is that a reflection of the bowl in the table or the base of the bowl? I’m surprised you could see the reflection in a table.) and “Take your pick” for the different varieties in a row.

    • Marjie, that is a reflection on the highly polished wood surface.
Your suggestions are great and I will consider both —thank you!

  3. Ok/ here’s my thoughts
    Oranges in the bowl names
Orange Huddle …. Tulare County Gold …

    Oranges in a row names

Orange Rainbow , Citrus Hues ,

The rains have started in Oregon- which means candles burning, a real fire in the fireplace and an extra blanket on the bed.

    • Thank you, Anne! I will carefully consider your name ideas.

The rains which have begun are just part of Pumpkin Season, which is also Birthday Season for both of us!
