Repainting Mineral King, One Day Left

Today will be my last day on this wall. The list of touch-ups, detailing, hiding things, camouflaging hidden things, and evaluating is long and boring. Maybe the photos will be interesting. I’ll show you tomorrow what I did today.

Meanwhile, I thought you might like to see the photos I worked from for the mural. You have to imagine them all stretched out one after another, and cropped off at the bottom, with snapshots of cabin scenes lying on top of the scenery. Then imagine them all lying ended to end, but now they are 110′ long.

Kind of makes your head spin a bit, yes?

Indeed.

  1. No more daily updates??

I think it would be cool if some PhotoShop wiz assembled your photos into a panorama version that matches the mural. In fact, I would volunteer to pay someone to do that. But only if I got a .jpg copy! Deal?

    • Sharon, I will continue with my usual 5 day a week posts, but the topic of the Mineral King mural will expire soon. If you can find someone to pay to do what you propose, I will provide the photos.

And today felt very eventful on the mural, so perhaps I can stretch the final day into several posts.
