These Mineral King oil paintings recently sold. That’s the good news. The less good news is that I have no idea who bought them. This is probably usual when one sells through a store* rather than a gallery.
Tomorrow I’ll show you what I painted to fill the blank spots on the store*’s shelves.
*”The store” is the Silver City Store, AKA Silver City Mountain Resort.

Wow Jana!! ?? Well done! I do love your work??
Aw shucks, Kathryn. Thanks for checking in and for the compliment!
Oh, I wasn’t “dissing” your beautiful work, just expressing my preference and why I liked that particular painting the best. <3
Oops, didn’t mean to infer that you were dissing my work. . . we are COMPLETELY on the same page about realism! I know I could do better with all of these paintings – it is an ongoing dichotomy.
Second from the top is my favorite. I tend to prefer paintings that look like photos–more realistic than “interpretive.” But that’s just me. All of these are beautiful!
Sharon, my preference is also photo-realism. Sometimes a deadline interferes with that goal. . . besides, I price them according to size, and if I spent as much time as necessary to look photo-realistic, I’d have to go get another job.
