Yes, yes, I know it is still March, my second favorite month (interpret that either way you would like). But summer comes every year, and with it comes the need for me to supply Silver City Resort with oil paintings to sell. There isn’t a lot to paint of Silver City itself, and as nice as it is, people go there BECAUSE IT IS NEAR MINERAL KING.
Excuse me for shouting. I feel that all the way to my toes, since I took a job at Silver City in 1985 BECAUSE IT IS NEAR MINERAL KING.
Here are the paintings that I have begun in order to have merchandise for Silver City to sell.

You worked at SC? What was your job?
I’m always happy to see Sawtooth represented, yay! I’m the proud owner of a Jana original (well, several actually), one of which is the iconic Sawtooth Peak with wildflowers in the foreground. Blessed!
Sharon, at Silver City I started as breakfast cook/waitress (alternated with my roommate), became the baker, returned the next year as baker/manager, then worked there a few more summers part time only as baker.
I think you own a pencil original of Sawtooth, with the foreground wildflowers in colored pencil. Yes?
That makes sense. I couldn’t see you as one who washed and changed sheets every day!
The pencil drawing I have is with Monarch Creek in the foreground, Black Wolf Falls in the middle, and Sawtooth toward the top, all in pencil (no colors). The date is either 2003 or 2008 (can’t tell with the grasses through the numbers). Is that in your collection? If not, I would be happy to photograph and send it your way.
The Sawtooth-with-wildflowers-in-the-foreground is in oil, number 1736 “Nature Trail, Mineral King.”
Interesting, Sharon – I cannot find either one of those in my files!
Photos coming forthwith (I think that means soon, but I don’t speak Middle Ages).
